Semiha Borovac, the National Coordinator for Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina attended the usual meeting of EU ambassadors and speak about up to date reform results and challenges that stands for the Public Administration Reform Coordinator Office.

Our dedication is to complete public administration reform process requested by Europeand standrads. This would be possible through stronger cooperation of Council of Ministers, entity Governments and Government of Brcko District.

Speaking about current reform process, Borovac said that government institution fullfilled 44 % measures from the Action Plan I pointed out that measures and activities from this document are mostly impelmented through Public Administration Reform Fund projects. Management Board of the Public Administration Reform Fund up to date approved 14 projects, worth 10,7 million of Convertible Marks of which 13 joint projects are implemented at all four levels. The Fund was literally discharged and the Public Administration Reform Coordinator Office is working on attracting new donors.

"The Public Administration reform will be impossible to proceed without additional investment. Here, above all, we expect support from the European Union and other donors, but counting on the participation of local government ", said Borovac.

The National Coordinator for Public Administration Reform said that Public Administration Reform Coordinator Office work on revision of Action Plan I of the Public Administration Reform Strategy and also on preparing the Action Plan II in order to strenghten and build up institutional capacities through sectoral reforms which will be able to fully respond  to European requirements. According to her statement, one of main Public Administration Reform Coordnator Office assignments is put the public administration reform into the focus of work of Coordination Comittee for Economic Development and European Integration with the aim of sepeeding up of this process.

"We plan to strengthen the mechanisms of coordination and accountability of all actors of the reform process," said Borovac and added that the continuation of public administration reform in BiH needs strong support not only local authorities but also the international community.

Discussion of ambassadors of the EU raised the issue of financing of public administration reform in the future and the effects of current reform activities.
