Printed edition of Almanac of Achievements under the title “Civil Society Organizations – the Power of the Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Integration Process” was presented within the Project of Technical Assistance for Civil Society Organizations (TACSO) BiH, financed by the European Union.

There are 39 organizations and 12 networks and initiatives from across BiH in the Almanac, who presented their results and achievements realized in the last 18 months.

The Almanac is the result of joint efforts of the TACSO BiH team and all participants of the informative event “Civil Society Organizations – the Power of the Citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Integration Process” held in April 2010.

“The objective of publishing of the Almanac is to enable civil society organisations active in BiH to learn about each other, what will make it easier for them to find project partners. The most important thing here is that these organisations had opportunity to draw attention to what they have achieved through their efforts in their local communities and wider,” explained member of the TACSO Advisory Group, Snjezana Ivandic.

Also, the Almanac contains questions posed to decision makers by the representatives of the participating organisations in relation to civil society, donor community, business sector and media.

Talking about their results, non-governmental organizations presented their activities to both government and business sector.

“We already have feedback from several municipalities that are interested in implementation of similar project in their communities. This is the first time that a project implemented within civil sector will become model for government and business sector as well,” emphasized TACSO Resident Advisor, Slavica Draskovic.

After successful implementation and good reception, TACSO announce plans to continue with Project implementation in the next year as well.
