In regards to marking of the Public Service Day, the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office of BiH has on Friday, June 26, 2009 organized the Open-door day for representatives of non-government sector in BiH.

The spokesperson of the Coordinator’s office has informed he representatives of non-government sector on the public administration reform process, implementation of measures from the Action plan 1 of the Strategy of the public administration reform  and on projects, which will be realized, and which have been approved by the Public Administration Reform Fund.

Representatives of the non-government sector have pointed out on slowness of the public administration reform in BiH, and have concluded that the administration is inefficient and expensive. According to them, citizens do not really understand the obligations of the Coordinator’s office, nor what kinds of reforms are being implemented, but they expect from the Coordinator’s office to reform the administration in BiH.     

Aimed to communicate better with citizens, the Coordinator’s office has put the P.O.BOX on the façade of its building, at the address Vrazova 9 in Sarajevo. The box is intended for BiH citizens to give suggestions and advices on how to improve the work of administration in BiH. By this, the Coordinator’s office has fulfilled a measure from the Action plan 1 of the Strategy of the public administration reform from the area of the Institutional communication.
