A Workshop on Performance Accountability and Integrity was held in Mostar, on December 4-6, 2007. The organizers of this event were the World Bank Institute (WBI) in partnership with the Government of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Ministers.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce participants to performance-based accountability and oversight when there is no bottom-line. Participants shared the lessons on better practices in ensuring integrity and improving efficiency in public management including public financial management. Experiences of OECD countries in managing for results and introducing transparency and public financial integrity and subjecting government programs to internal and external oversight and evaluation were also presented.

Neveka Savić, National Coordinator for Public Administration Reform, was one of the speakers on the Workshop, with the presentation named 'Measuring and Monitoring Performance and Performance Based Accountability in Public Administration Reform'.

The presentation comprises from two thematic areas: the first part is dealing with the current progress in Public Administration Reform together with the strategic documents which are the base for it. In the second part the accent is put on the modules for the gathering of the information and reporting on the progress achieved in the implementation of the PAR Strategy Action Plan 1. Within this part, the principles of evaluation in Action Plan 1 implementation: impartiality, credibility and transparency, have been explained.
