The first meeting of the Community of Practitioners for Long Term / Sector Planning, having as objective exchange of experiences from the field of long term / sector planning and implementation of recommendations of the European Commission regarding draft of methodology for long term planning and development of sector strategy took place on 1st June 2018 in Sarajevo.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the institutions dealing with long term planning: i.e. the Ministry of Justice of BiH, the Directorate for Economic Planning of BiH, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, the Federal Institute for Development Programming, the Secretariat General of the Government of the RS, the Secretariat of the Government of the BD BiH, as well as the PARCO.
The objective of the Community of Practitioners is also improvement of the quality of policies, as well as agreement and harmonisation of them.
The first meeting of the Community of Practitioners for Long Term / Sector Planning was held through the Programme of Strengthening of Public Institutions, which in Bosnia and Herzegovina, on behalf of the German Government, is implemented by the German GIZ.
The meeting was organised in coordination and in the presence of the representatives of the EU Delegation in BiH.
