On Friday, 16 June 2017, the first session of the Coordination board for quality management took place in the premises of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office. That is, this body was established based on the Operation Plan for quality management introduction in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the period from 2016 to 2018, which was adopted by the Council of Ministers of BiH at the 91st session of 8 February 2017.

The Coordination board for quality management consists of the representatives of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, the Institute for Standardisation of BiH and the Civil Service Agency of BiH, and the tasks of the board are: coordination of the overall implementation of the measures from the Operation Plan, activities implementation monitoring and proposal of amendments in the manner of implementation of individual measures in accordance with the needs, submission of information and reporting to the Council of Ministers of BiH on implementation of the measures from the Operation Plan, identification of the needs of the requests for technical and other assistance, cooperation with the donors and other interested parties with the objective of ensuring support for implementation of the measures from the Operation Plan, achievement of cooperation and establishment of partnership with other stakeholders who act in the field of quality management (regional, international organisations and associations, etc.), and promotion of all the activities from the Operation Plan and measures in the field of quality management.

At the aforementioned session, the members of the Coordination board adopted the Report on the outcome of the Public call to the institutions of public administration to express the interest for support in introduction of the CAF model of quality management, which made the decision that the employees of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office, the Civil Service Agency of BiH and the Statistics Agency of BiH are to provide support in implementation of the CAF model to the following institutions in the coming period:

  • the Agency for Identification Documents, Registers and Data Exchange of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IDDEEA),
  • the Legislation Office of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
  • the Labour and Employment Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
  • the Anti-Doping Control Agency of BiH.

Also, the previously prepared draft tender documentation for implementation of the ISO 9001 system and tender documentation for certification by the system ISO 9001 were accepted, which can be downloaded by the interested institutions wishing to implement this standard and adjust it to their needs.

In the end the members of the Coordination board for quality management noted the information on the current status of the activities from the Operation Plan for quality management introduction in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the period from 2016 to 2018, where the fact that the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office was appointed by the Council of Ministers as the CAF correspondent on behalf of the institutions of BiH in communication with the European CAF resource centre within the European public administration network (EUPAN) was especially accentuated.
