Representatives of the Central Bank of BiH and the Program of Strengthening Public Institutions/GIZ-SPI have signed the Memorandum on Understanding today in Sarajevo. This Memorandum defines the forms of technical assistance to the Central Bank.
The GIZ-SPI assistance to the Central Bank of BiH can be in a form of consultancy services offered by international and local experts, trainings at work place, professional capacity building through seminars and drafting and realization of solutions in the area of information technology.
The goal of this cooperation is strengthening capacities of the CB BiH with a purpose of contribution to its preparations for accession to the European Central Banks System and assistance to harmonization of standards which are being applied in the EU, as well as creating new methods and rules and improving processes, policies and practices.
The announcement of the CB BiH states that the funds for realization of the program have been ensured by the Government of Germany.
The Memorandum on Understanding has been signed by the CB BiH governor Kemal Kozarić and the Program of Strengthening Public Institutions leader Reinhard Luke. (Srna)
