Oslobođenje: Administrative council of the Central Bank of BiH (CBBiH) has today at the session in Sarajevo adopted the Decision on withdrawing the banknote of 5 KM, which is being used as a legal instrument of payment.
Coins of 5 KM will stay in use, has been notified from the CBBiH.
Those, who still own the banknotes of 5 KM, can normally use it and do the payments by them until December 31st, this year.
From January 1st, 2010., banknotes of 5 KM, as it has been stated by the CBBiH, will stop being a legal instrument of payment and will not be accepted for any kind of payment.
The commercial banks will, as it has been said, will continue accepting the banknotes of 5 KM from January 1st to March 31st, 2010.
The administrative council of the CBBiH has adopted the Decision on taking over and converting the monetary gold. The CBBiH takes over and converts the monetary gold received through the Agreement on succession issues, in a total of 42.352.167 ounces.
