The Central Bank of BiH (CBBiH) reminds the citizens that they can use the banknote of 1 convertible mark as a legal paying instrument until 31st of December, 2008. After that, the banknotes of this denomination will be withdrawn from circulation and will not be accepted in transactions for paying of any kind of obligations.
Commercial banks will continue accepting these banknotes from January 1st until March 31st, 2009. The CBBiH will withdrawn banknotes accept from the commercial banks over separated treasuries. The coins of 1 KM are still staying in circulation, has been notified from the Central Bank of BiH.
