Promotion of the Annual Progress Report on the Public Administration Reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina – monitoring of implementation of the Action Plan 1 of the Strategy of the Public Administration Reform in BiH, will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008, in the Building of the Institutions of BiH, Press Hall 3/2, Trg BiH 1, Sarajevo. Promotion will be held from 13.00 to 14.00.
The Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office prepared the Report which gives detailed information on the progress of the reform, totally and by the reform areas. This report presents the first official document with relevant data on the progress of this reform, gathered with the help of the partners from all the administration levels in BiH, as well as by own analysis and by the research by the employees of the Office.
For the first time we have in Bosnia and Herzegovina official and verified percentages of realization by administration levels and areas of the public administration reform. Behind all data there is a documentation basis which gives them dimension of credibility and verifiability.
By the Report, we want to objectively present to the public actual condition in which the public administration reform is at this moment, and present the real evaluation of the achieved progress by administration levels, reform areas, and totally.
At the same time, we would like by this, as well as by future Progress Reports, to offer to media real data with which they could work and which will contribute to objective and realistic reporting on this process, extremely important for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, on the basis of the established progress, which is significantly bigger than the assumptions so far published to the public, we expect that the media pay more attention to the topics from the area of the public administration reform, to provide necessary support and influence the increase in understanding of the public for the reform which will benefit everybody, both the individuals and the society in general.
