Within the Twinning project “Strategic Planning and Coordination in the Centres of Government“, which was financed by the European Union, on December 10, 2007 in Brčko was held a meeting of the Secretaries of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entity governments and the Government of the Brčko District of BiH.

Besides the Secretaries of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entity governments and the Government of the Brčko District of BiH, the meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office in BiH, deputy mayor of the Brčko District of BiH, and the deputy supervisor of the Brčko District of BiH.

At the meeting, the text of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation of the Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers, the Secretariat of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Secretariat of the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Secretariat of the Government of the Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been agreed. That memorandum establishes basic principles, areas and manners of cooperation, with an objective of improving mutual communication, coordination, exchange of materials and other information.

The condition for signing of Memorandum is its approval by the governments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose secretariats are signing the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation.

Prepared in accordance with the Strategy of the Public Administration Reform in BiH and the priorities contained in the European Partnership for Bosnia and Herzegovina (2007), Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation presents significant step forward in improvement of cooperation between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entity governments and the Government of the Brčko District of BiH.
