Signed Memorandum of Undestanding on establishment of PAR Fund and Common Platform on Pricimples and Implementation of PAR Strategy Action Plan 1.

Prime ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Federation of BiH, Republic of Srpska, Brcko District Mayor, Minister of finances of BiH, Ambassadors of the Donor countries – Great Britain, Netherlands and Sweden, and Chief of Delegation of European Commission in BiH, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding on establishment of PAR Fund on Jul y12th, in Sarajevo.

With this act, formal preconditions for the investment of 4,5 million Euros of Donors' recourses in the Fund which will be used for financing of projects for realization of the measures from Action Plan 1 of the PAR Strategy have been fulfilled

Chief of Delegation of the European Commission, Dmitris Kurkulass, stressed that Fund will be managed by the Public Administration Reform Coordinators Office. He also pointed out visible progress in this reform, shown from the May 2007, since Nevenka Savic was appointed as a State Coordinator.

Prime ministers and Brcko District Mayor also signed the Common Platform on the principles and implementation of Action Plan 1 of the PAR Strategy, which ensures political and operational conditions for the implementation of this reform.

High Representative in BiH, Miroslav Lajcak was also present on the ceremony. He marked public administration reform as a system attempt for increasing of functionality and professionalism of public administration at all levels, with the aim of raising of democratic responsibility and improving of servicies public administration provides to the citizens.
